Ma’aden Phosphate Company Appoints Verus Partners
Verus Partners is delighted to have been appointed by Ma’aden Phosphate Company (“MPC”) to advise them on a number of current matters relating to the existing $5.5 Billion investment which came into operation in 2011. The financing relates to a large, integrated phosphate mine, beneficiation facility and Diammonium Phosphate (“DAP”) complex in Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
MPC is the lowest cost producer of DAP globally and the largest integrated phosphoric fertiliser complex in the world. It is owned by Ma’aden (70%) and SABIC (30%). Both Ma’aden and Sabic are majority owned by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
